Historic Sites, Memorial Parks & Veteran Cemeteries
Syracuse and Onondaga County are home to many historic cemeteries, memorial parks, veteran burial grounds, and active sites — from grand 19th-century rural cemeteries (Oakwood, Assumption) to faith-based (St. Mary's, Sacred Heart) and local community ones (Pine Plains in Clay, Greenlawn in Warners). As of March 2026, these places offer peaceful settings for remembrance, genealogy research, and reflection — convenient for residents in Clay, Liverpool, Cicero, Dewitt, Fayetteville, and beyond (~5–30 min drive).
Many are managed by associations, churches, or counties — contact for lot info, records, or visiting hours. See also our Funeral Homes and Churches pages for related services.
