VT-108 (The Notch Road) is a dramatic seasonal mountain pass linking Stowe and Smugglers Notch Resort. Famous for its 1,000-foot cliffs, switchbacks, and giant boulders, the road is strictly closed each year from early November to mid-May because it is unplowed and impassable to vehicles. GPS Caution: During the winter, many GPS services will still try to route you directly through the closed Smugglers Notch Pass.
Commercial Vehicle Prohibitions
