Sour Cream Green Beans
Ingredients
1/2 lb Swiss cheese, grated
2 cans (or 2 packages frozen) French-style green beans, cooked about 2/3 done and drained
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons onion juice
1/4 teaspoon sugar
Topping:
1 cup crushed Corn Flakes
1 tablespoon butter
Preheat oven: 400°F
Instructions
In a 9 × 9-inch pan, layer beans and grated cheese: beans, cheese, beans, cheese.
In a saucepan, melt butter, stir in flour, and cook briefly. Stir in sour cream, salt, onion juice, and sugar until blended.
Spread the sour cream mixture over the top.
Mix crushed Corn Flakes with 1 tablespoon butter and sprinkle over the casserole.
Bake 20 minutes. Serves 6.
French Green Beans
Ingredients
2 packages French green beans
1 can mushroom soup
Breaded onion rings
Preheat oven: 350°F
Instructions
Layer beans and mushroom soup in a baking dish.
Top with breaded onion rings.
Bake 30 minutes.
