Oyster Casserole Recipe


Scalloped Oyster Casserole Recipe

   Ingredients required
1 pint fresh oysters
2 cups medium course saltine crackers crumbs (46 crackers)
1/2 cup butter, melted
2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
3/4 cup light cream
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Preheat oven 360 degrees

Instructions for Scalloped Oyster Casserole Recipe

   Drain oysters, reserving 1/4 cup of liquid. Combined crumbs and melted butter. Set aside 1/2 cup buttered crumbs. Combine remaining crumbs with drain oysters, the one fourth cup liquid, mushrooms, cream and Worcestershire sauce. Turn into 8 1/4 by 1 3/4 inch round pan and top with remaining crumbs. Bake 40 minutes. After baking garnish with pimiento and green pepper. Serves 8.
