🍍 Sweet & Sour Pork Chops
A vibrant dish pairing pan-fried chops with a zesty, pineapple-infused glaze.
Ingredients
- 6 thin sliced sirloin pork chops
- 1 (13½ oz) can pineapple chunks with juice
- 1 cup green pepper chunks
- 1 cup chicken broth
- ½ cup sliced onion
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup vinegar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ⅓ cup water
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- Hot cooked rice (for serving)
Baking Instructions
- Pan-fry pork chops until golden brown on both sides.
- Combine pineapple with juice, green pepper, chicken broth, onion, brown sugar, vinegar, soy sauce, and salt. Pour over the chops.
- Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Remove chops and serve over hot cooked rice.
- Mix cornstarch with water until smooth. Stir into the sauce and cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.
- Pour sauce over chops and rice.
